Hello,
I just did a water test on my stripped boat.
Not tooo bad. A couple of spots "crying".

It looks like the previous owner ran 5200 along the seam.

I would prefer to fix using G Flex. But what do I do with the old 5200?
What would happen to the 5200 if I hit it with a torch?

I have NO idea what the previous owner used on the inside. He hit everywhere with something that is now pealing and flaking.

As I said before it's only weeping in a few spots. I'm not really inclined to open a can of worms on the interior if it isn't leaking.

Tighten the rivet before applying any type of sealer. To remove the 5200 your best bet would probably be a razor blade. Not sure how a torch would work out, would like to know though. Could be make for an easy removal.
