Another thought ...

Not sure if it would be a problem for you, but if it were a saltwater boat or one used on a good sized lake where you may be running in a chop a lot, having the bait well up the bow means the bait could be beat up by wave action and chop and such. This isn't good for fragile baits.

On on my offshore boats, we purposely put the livewells (35 & 55-gal homemade drum types) centered in the rear of the cockpit as far back as we could keep them ... both for weight distribution and for where any part of the rough ride was felt the least.
 
Thanks Dale. I'll give the number a call. I'll just be doing freshwater fishing in mostly small lakes with little chop. For the most part. There may be a day here or there where things get rough but nothing like saltwater.
