Hey Everyone,
It's been a while since my last post and alot has been going on. I picked up a 1971 Starcraft SuperSport in a trade this past winter. And after some trailer title issues, finally got her on the water in early June. For the most part she's in good shape and a big upgrade from the 14' Seafarer that we converted. Longer, wider, deeper... you get the picture. But she does need some work and I see new things every time we take her out.
The one thing I keep coming back to though, is the fact that the boat came with a walk-through windshield originally and it's not there anymore! The previous owner(s) removed the left side console (which is OK by me) and the windshield(s). After taking her out a half-dozen times this summer, I would like to have a windshield on the right side while I drive. I would like it for both form and function. I think the original windshield on the Starcraft SS looked pretty cool.
The problem is I have been having trouble finding and original windshield for this model. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might be able to find one in the N.E. Indiana/ Southern Michigan/ Northwestern Ohio region? And NO I don't want to make my own with Plexiglass and aluminum, I WANT THE REAL DEAL!!! Sorry I got a little passionate there. But I want to find an original windshield. HELP!!!
