I am trying to trade my 1975 evinrude 15hp for a larger motor on craigslist and i am having people wanting to buy my motor outright. i am wondering what should my asking price be? I have no clue. It has a new impeller and plugs and runs good. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Justin

I have a 1976 15hp with electric start & charging & wouldn't let it go for under $700
I would say depending on your compression between $400-600

Don't wanna hijack the thread or anything, but while we are on the topic of value - what would fair asking price be for my 1976 Johnson Seahorse 25hp with electric start and good compression?

I would say depending on your compression between $400-600

same around here. the condition of the motor plays a big factor around here, slap a good paint job on it and the value just went up another 200

$400-600 depending on condition for the Evinrude 15.

The Seahorse 25, I am not sure, probably $500-$700 depending on condition.

These older 2 stroke are tough, reliable engines with lots of parts availible. Hold their value pretty well for age.
