Been there, done that with the plate. They won't have any information - they will direct you to a guy with starcraft who won't be able to help you. I am hope they are wrong, but I am pretty sure there is no information on hulls pre-1980 or thereabouts.

I was lucky enough to have a vin plate, and used ITS for $200+ bucks.
