First time poster. I have been lurking here for about two months. My story is that I bought a heavily used Alumacraft 1432 from a friend's father. Anyway, I wanted to fix it up and modify it to suit my needs. I accidently erased the pics of the boat when I first got it, but i have pics after my first mod.

I had a buddy apply a layer of "liquid liner" to the inside surfaces and then I painted the exterior with Parker's Duck Boat Paint (Hunter Green). The "Alumacraft" decals were peeling off and looked horrible. I found a website that sells the eary 90's style Alumacraft decal with the wavy A and bought a set. I applied them and they look great.

Next, I have started working on the benchs. Like many of you I took 3/4 inch plywood, covered it in spar urethane and then covered it in marine grade carpet. I used toggle bolts to secure them to the aluminum. I also installed 3/4 in peg style seat bases.

More pics and strories as I move forward.

PS - he boat came with a 1986 Mariner 9.9 that runs great. I have purchased a 45 lb thrust wireless Motorguide bow trolling motor and a 45 lb thrust Motorguide Varimax transom mount trolling motor for ponds that do not allow gas motors.

I guess I need some help getting pictures to show in the post. As you can see, I have a photobucket account. I just cannot figure out how to make it work.

OK I think I've got it.

I am going to leave it open. I am now trying to figure out how to wire it. I bought some 6 ga wire for the bow mount trolling motor and I want to keep the battery in the back. I am toying around with putting a 4-switch panel in.

Mounted the bow mounted the bow trolling motor today
