Newb and 1st Post: Preparing to install new exterior grade plywood deck on my Starcraft. Plan is 5/8" ACX/BCX Spar Varnish and finish w marine vinyl. Should I spar just top and sides and leave bottom bare for plywood to breathe? Thanks and look forward to feedback.

I did all of mine, top bottom, and especially the edges...

The edges of mine got two times the coats as I did them each time I did top and bottom...

Adelmo,

Definitely seal it. Here's a picture of what the bottom side of mine looked like after about a year and a half when the prior owner left it unsealed:

Do it right the first time and you won't have to do it again.

Good luck!

Dry fit the floor first then remove it after you have all the holes drilled and fitted and then seal it up!.
