I hope someone can help me. I have been seeing alot of ads and topics talking about how treated wood is bad to put in an aluminum boats. I have a 12 ft v hull jon boat. I laid down wood that was not treated and bought a can of krylon wood stain and protector. It is suppose to protect against water and uv . Does anyone know if this will pit my aluminum I did paint and prime the boat before hand if that helps. Please let me know if anyone can help me out with this. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

I think you will be OK with the paint you purchased - the treated wood attacks the aluminum because of the dissimilar metals involved - I do not think your paint has this in it
