I'm about to take the plunge and remove the middle bench on my Lowe 1436. I've read just about every tread about it, I'm still nervous but it will be alright. Most of the water I'm on its restricted to electric only and if I do put a motor on it, it's going to be a long tail mud motor around 7 hp.
I'm looking for a pedestal base that's flush or almost flush. Clearance below deck is also an issue. I have an inch clearance and really don't want to build up the deck to 3" required for the pedestal. The boat is mainly used for duck hunting with only a few fishing trips every year. Thanks.
