Steel rod eyes

Does anyone know where I can get rod eyes for a steel rod? The first eye from the reel is broken off my Dads old rod and I would like to restore it for him. The ones that are on the rod have 4 tabs that wrap around and then are soldered to the rod. I looked at Mudhole and several other internet sites but have had no luck as yet.

Man, If you find a source let me know, I have two old steel rods that belong to my grandfather, One is telescopic the other is rg, but both are missing an eye or two

JD I will let you know when I find eyes. It looks like they are few and far between but somebody has to have them.

I just tossed out a couple old steel poles in June. Wish I knew you were needing them.

Thanks for the reply Popeye I have been looking at yard sales etc. but all of the old rods I have seen so far have tied on eyes I will keep looking and will find what I need one of these days.
