Those are primarily seen on Lunds and similar up north, with tillers, that backtroll for walleye. Basically, they are trolling in reverse, and the flat transom slows them down. Those plexiglass shields keep waves from splashing over, when backtrolling. Quite frankly, I can't see how backtrolling would be advantageous. Seems a kicker or electric motor would be more practical for slow trolling than going backwards.Waterwings said:Nice looking rig!
