I'm in the process if redoing my boat and have decided to rewire everything. I have two panels, one a BPS 6 gang switch panel with inline fuses, and one a 6 gang Blue Sea ATC fuse block with negative bus. So far my accessories are:
Nav lights
Interior lights
Running lights
Fishfinder
500 gph bilge with float switch
800gph bilge
Livewell fill
Livewell recirc
Might add:
Radio
12v receptacle
I have a couple questions. First, my switch panel and fuse block will be mounted next to each other, can I run the negative leads from the switched wires to the fuse block negative bus (piggyback them over the non-switched negatives) or should I get a seperative negative bus for the switch panel? Also, I have a manual reset breaker, 30 amp I think, that I was going to put on the battery->fuse block wire, can I run a jumper from the fuse block to the switch panel for power or does it need its own battery cable and fuse?
I'm sure I'll have more questions, any help is appreciated
