I'd settle for a 1.7 pound bream (if we're talking the same thing... blue gill, shell cracker, sun fish...)

Only ice is in my freezer as evidence of my spinner bait, bass fishing, on thin ice technique... Have you read about that?
 
same fish.. a guy down here in GA has been catching some 2lb-2.5lb bream in a pond/lake they feed the fish in for quality bass.

and no, i haven't read about your technique
