The wife and I decided to take the jon boat out this morning and see if anything was biting (not much  ). We were on the water at 10am, and the water was pretty smooth, except for some slight ripples. Wind picked-up later and it got fairly choppy. The lake we fish is just a little over 100 acres, but shallow, so the chop can get up quick. Finally caught a LM which weighed 15oz., but I thinking my darn scale was out of whack, cause the fish was decent-sized, and I'm speculating he was at least 1.5lbs. Caught him in about 2 fow near the bank on a Chartruese/Green Tiki Stick, t-rigged on a 3/0 Gammy ewg hook. Water temp was 69 degrees. Only bite of the day. We called it quits and had the boat on the trailer around 2pm. Oh, it was 54 degrees when we launched. Halfway through the day I came out the sweatshirt and fished the rest of the time in a tshirt, as the temp rose to 80 degrees.
