I used to fish out of a kayak and my kids would be sad when I went fishing. Now I take the kids with me and we have had some great days on the water (still bothers me when we leave biting fish because they want to swim in the lake but eventually they may outgrow this.)

17' Lowe R1760 + 60hp, with factory non-skid liner (no carpets)

It was new, its still very little used (15 trips every year)
Its roomy, simple, and lightweight.
Needs very little maintenance, and yet, if its a little dirty, just a broom is what needs to look decent.
Carries the family and makes a nice day for the kids, but when fishing, get the job done.
This year It will pull some tubes and will yield us even more fun than ever.

Oh, and it goes to the furthest, shallower places on the lake. Its an absolute adventure for the kids!
