I have a "New to me" 14' Jon.
Inside the back of the front seat is this Mystery 'thing' maybe he's a Hoodoo? :LOL2:
I've never seen one before. :lol:
The shiny thing inside is a Stainless Spring. The black cover twists off.

Lol that "thingy ma jig" is used on the nose of a tractor-trailer to hold registration papers. I would guess that the PO used it to hold his boat, motor registration. Just fold it up and place it under the spring. Great idea actually.

I lost my papers on a Road trip one time.
