WIRING A MERCURY 25 (2001 S STROKE)

I got my controls ordered, now for the electrical. I have an 8 prong plug on the motor. I know one is the kill switch that I need to shut if off, and I can figure out the starter wire fro electric start but not completely sure what all the other wires are for. Any help. gonna make my wiring harness for keyed start and shutoff tomorrow after work. just looking for anyone that has ran their own electrical. thanks

This is the info that I had archived for the 8 pin connector.

red= 12 volt positive
black= ground
purple= 12 volts key on power
grey= tach signal lead
black/yellow= ignition stop circuit
yellow/red= starter circuit
yellow/black= choke circuit
tan/blue= warning horn

i was able to find a web page this morning that supported the same data.
