Decided I needed an Evinrude in the stable in honor of their demise. The 55-56 10 hp models from both Johnson and Evinrude are considered to be one of the best motors ever made. Found one locally that had an ice damaged bottom end but otherwise was in excellent condition.

I'm planning to convert into a long shaft so I can run a tandem with my 55 Johnson:

What you said. =D>

I've got a '56 Johnson 10hp on my '56 Alumacraft 12' RB and a '59 10hp Johnson on my 1959 Alumacraft 14ft model F. It's been years since I worried about dependability.

Really pretty presentation!
