Hello to All! I'm new here and this is my first post so let me know if I do it wrong please.
Just picked up a 1974 StarCraft Holiday 16' with a Merc 85 on it. Will be restoring/modifying the boat and getting the engine up to snuff.
First question for those of you who know this motor and power trim/tilt unit: Are both of the hydrolic lift cylinders (left and right) supposed to have a zerk fitting on top to lube that top shaft? There's one on the top of the drivers (right) side now, but what looks to be an empty hole on the left cylinder? Can't tell if somebody snapped one off in there.
I am in the process of finding all lube points on this engine, cradle, and PTT assembly, and don't want to miss any critical pivot points of wear/stress.
