Hey everybody, I've got a 40 hp Mariner Magnum outboard that runs great. Just had it out last week. When I tried to take it out the other day I charged the batteries for the troller and outboard and it said they were fully charged. Got to the river and the power trim and electric starter were "tired." The starter would barely turn over and the trim was sloooooow. Trolling motor is hooked to a different battery and it worked fine. Took the battery to be tested today and it was fine. Looked at all the wiring and it looked fine. No corrosion or splits or broken anythings. Any tips?

Loose or dirty connections.

I had a battery cable that was dirty and it wouldn't turn over the starter. A few swipes with a piece of sandpaper and problem cured.

Good luck.
