Some updates on the deck got it all cut out and finally sparing everything ready to get to the carpet and electrical stage it is getting to fishing time and been hitting the river chasing wallys very chance I'm not working on the boat or at work. I got all the edges routed and smooth than sanded everything just a couple more coats.

Really killer layout.....you used every inch of space....how much weight do you think you put into it?......if you look at my mod the bow is barely in the water.....I cant wait to see how yours sets in the water. Is your boat a 14?I Did not notice in any of your pics or comments what model you have.

So far I scaled all the deck and frame. It was around 150lbs then Plus my two batteries I think it'll be just over 200. But mainly have two or less in the boat Plus or minus a dog. It is a 14' not sure if i ts a deep fisherman only had a decal for level floatation

Yeah looking great man, keep after it! Fish here in Kansas are biting pretty good at lakes and reservoirs I have been hearing good reports of crappie anyway. I am sure others are seeing the same.

Had a /few curve balls but spent a good amount of last week and the whole weekend got the electrical done busbars weren't transferring power so went wit a messier but working rig cleaned up exterior part and mounted most of everything.

That is some transformation. This it quite along the lines of what I want to do to my grandpa's '70s 14' Mirrocraft.. I didn't inherit it though, he upgraded and figured I should have it.
The only real difference between your boat and mine is my benches are all one piece of aluminum (no wood tops) and it lacks that little shelf/mini-bench in very front of the bow.
I'm very jealous right now.

So the live-well, i imagine that sits that much higher than the deck just so you can open the cooler?
Did you just buy a kit for it? (sorry if you already mentioned that).

I've been daydreaming about how I can do basically what you have there but somehow remove the lid, lower the cooler, and make a hatch that is flush enough to keep all the water from sloshing out..

Anyway, thanks for sharing.

This is an awesome build! Many ideas from this one.

Still trying to figure out what role the croquet mallet plays in all this, is it for stress relief? :D

My thoughts exactly :LOL2:

That was the original plan but where I wanted my battery box to have the cooler flush that lower floor would have to be much lower and not have the extra width in the compartments. I could have cut out a segment and lowered it but I didn't mind it sitting higher. No kit eer I got lucky at the local marine store they had the livewell aerator valve for cheap the yellow piece the stand pipe I made out of PVC and a couple fittings for real cheap just mounted a female threaded connection flush with the bottom with marine epoxy to use as a drain and fill.

Lol and the mallet it was a little bitof stress related
relief I could bang on things without damage but was using it to bury stainless staples on top of the carpet and using the round side to apply firm pressure on the carpet to the adhesive to make sure I didn't have any bubbles or areas not attached correctly

It's getting to the point where the long weekends are paying off good luck with your builds

Nice looking boat man! I'm from WI too. Antigo area north central WI. Just finished my first tin. Yours is waaay more detailed than mine. Looks real nice.
