battery wont hold a charge

sooo my battery will charge 100% according 2 the battery charger and the next day it wont work so i plugged it back up and the charger said it only was 13% charged. the battery was made in 2004 and it is starting to bulge on the sides? does anyony know whats going on? :?:

so the battery is over 6 years old? count your blessing that you got that long out of it.
the fact that it is bulging tells me that it is shot and time for a new one

Yeah time for a new one. Anytime something that is filled with acid starts to bulge, I get rid of it asap :lol:

they are pretty expensive I know but ya it is time for a new one. make sure you use a battery box to keep it dry and dn't over charge, check water levels and it will last longer.

yea i thought so but i just wanted to see if there was anything i coul do to save it. oh well

Get a new one. My brother in law had a battery in his bass boat that had a small buldge in the side like it was over charging and it actually exploded all over him. Thank God he only had small minor burns from the acid. I replace my batteries and tires every 2 years if they need to or not.
