I just purchased a typhoon 500gph bilge pump. It has a 3/4” ID barbed output. What hose should I use to plumb it? Hoping I can find something at the hardware store.

3/4” ID clear ‘water’ hose w/ white spiral reinforcements internal to the hose works and is what I use. Avoid anything ribbed or corrugated, as it robs your pump of 20% or more efficiency.

I agree with DaleH. The corrugated hose that comes with bilge pumps decreases their efficiency. Here is the hose I used for my two pumps. Works great. https://www.go2marine.com/product/52069F/shields-148-series-vac-extra-heavy-duty-fda.html
