mercury 110 9.8 weak spark

I have a 9.8 serial #3484650 and it has weak spark. The man working on it for me said it needs new points and condenser. I have ordered points from Sierra but they don,t carry the condensers for it. Any idea where I can get the parts? And does this sound like a fix for the weak spark? Thanks for any help,Brian.

Points and condenser are regular replacement items during a tune up.Yes,bad ones will make a motor run rough and not run at all.I'm not 100% where to find a new condenser.Check ebay.I have found lots of tune up parts on there cheap.

look at old merc.com/oldmercs.com they have alot if hard to find parts and a good source as i have got things from them in the past.
