Minn Kota Plug Replacement

Is it possible to change out the square plug on the older Minn Kota motors for the new round plug? I can't really find anything online of anyone ever trying it.

I haven't needed to do this, but I don't think it would be a problem.

I am asking because I got an older powerdrive trolling motor for really cheap and want to use my wireless pedal with it but it doesn't have the copilot system on it. It is really hard to find the copilot setup for the older square plug stuff (cause it is discontinued by Minn Kota) but the round plug is still produced. If I could change out the square plug to the round plug then I could just buy the round plug copilot and be done with it.

But, don't know if that's possible.
