Just an idea. I’ve been researching paint textures and I think I’ve decided to add the “soft sand rubber” texture to my base coat by broadcasting it on the first coat and masking off areas where I don’t want the texture.
With that in mind, what if you taped off floor panels before applying the texture thus having planned stripes of 1” untextured paint at even widths. It would look like you’d laid down panels with gutters between.
So if you had a seam 18” from the edge on one side you could leave that stop untextured and do the same 18” from the other side.
You could essentially mask the seam in plain sight.
