Went to a tackle and boat show this past weekend in Nashville, Tn and saw a booth selling recessed foot control trolling pedal pans. They were 130 bucks an they looked like they were made out of fiberglass. Now I dont think thats a bad price is you got a 45,000$ Nitro z8, but what Im wondering is there other buys out there that would work the same. I know you can buy the aluminum pans off e-bay and other places from 60$-100$. My buddy said he has made one out of a turkey pan but I never seen it so I dont know if it looked rigged or if it looked just as good. Any input is appreciated!

This is one a lot of guys buy and install. It will work with MK or MG trolling motors foot pedals.

Not mine, but I was reading his build the other day. Page three, fourth post is where it starts. I think there were some modifications made toward the end of the build. Not bad for $3.

I found one on amazon for about 57 bucks with free shipping. I hate to ask anybody an have both of us going out of our way. I did check out dudes site and he has some awsome stuff on there. I might still shoot him a email and see what I could get one for shipped to me. Id like to have about 50 in it but if I find a pan thatll make it sit flush Ill have it. That ole baking pan in that build posted on here is ugly. Still not bad for 3 bucks but I wouldve left it alone for that.

The baking pan doesn't accomplish the purpose of a trolling pedal tray which is to make the pedal flush so your not standing like a stork. It's just not deep enough. Plus I didn't see where there was a drain so if you fish in the rain it's gonna fill with water which will keep sloshing up in to your wiring connections. Check ebay also, I've seen trays on there also.

Bassboy1 made me an entire bow frame w/hatches as well as a hatch and liner for my rear bench. Top quality work!!

What's the going rate on a recessed pan from bassboy? My buddy still swears I should get a turkey pan. The one posted earlier looks more like a cake pan and Id rather be kicked in my balls then have that thing up front.

I don't have one of his recessed trolling motor trays, but the bow frame w/hatch lids and the hatch w/liner he made me were worth every penny I paid. There should be some good pictures of his work in my build thread if your interested.
