Seat Clamps

I have used these clamps for quite sometime and what i did was
to replace the wingnut with a regular nut and then use a hacksaw
and cut the threaded rod down to where i could put a socket on it
and tighten it with a ratchet. (I use a deep socket)
It made it much easier to to tighten the clamp to the bench. When
I have to remove it all I have to do is loosen the nut just a little and
pull it off. Hope this helps. Scott

I was looking at one of the clamps today at Walmart.
I don't think it will work on my boat...
I have a lip on the edges of my seats.
After looking at the design it didn't look like a good fit at all.
