I'm in the process of buying a late 80's Spectrum 15' open skiff powered by a 1986 25 Evinrude and a Escort trailer. Trailer needs u-bolts/tie plates, and maybe an axle. Motor is pretty clean. Wood flooring is rough and needs to be replaced if even worth doing. Transom looks solid with no corrosion as well as the bottom of the hull. Its missing one of the side storage compartments which may be a good thing for more walk-thru space. Going to sea trial today or tomorrow. Getting it for $850. Quality, ride? Rivets? I've owned a 1975 Duranautic 14 side console w/ a 35 hp and 1983 Mirror Craft 14 center console w/ a 25 hp. I fish the saltwater bays of NJ. The Duranautic was a much better built boat than the MirrorCraft.
Thanks in advance. Looks like a great forum for Tin boats.
