I have a 14ft flatbottom jon boat. I'm thinking of putting a fishfinder on my boat. The poblem is I don't know a spot where to install the transducer. Any help would be great thankyou

If your prop turns clockwise mount it on the starboard side of your transom. Try to avoid mounting it behind rivets in the bottom of your boat. Otherwise just follow the manufacturers instructions.

I heard this is sort of a "wives tale" that manufacturers still put in the directions in case someone is installing on an inboard.

I've never tested it, but supposedly, and theoretically, of the transducer is infront of the prop, if shouldnt make a difference what side its on. Never tested it though.
