Step on winch riser? Who has one? picture please

he step-down from the bow of my 16 ft Lowe is too high, even for my long legs. Who has added an intermediate step? Thanks. richg99

Last night I bought the angle iron. I wish I had all of my tools here in TN with me. Most of what I really need to cobble this thing together is in TX.

Well, after hacking the piece of angle iron into pieces, and then bringing it to the boat...I decided that my home-made step was going to be a death trap. It was too flimsy and it would not be safe, due to the strange U shaped winch riser that came with the trailer on the Lowe 1648. Not enough strong material is available on which to bolt on the angle irons.

So, I shopped Amazon and found a neat, stainless steel folding step for $13.00. Heck, I've spent more than that on the angle iron and too many stainless bolts nuts and washers. Since I have previously paid for Amazon's Prime, no additional shipping costs are involved.

Should arrive in a few days. I'll re-post when I have it on. Hope it works out. Rich
