I've got this old Johnson TM. I think it's a 28 lb. thrust. It has a three position switch, but only works on low or medium. Looking at the wiring, I'm not sure it's wired for three speeds. Anyway, I got a Lowrance X-4 Pro I'm gonna mount up by my front seat and mount the transducer on the TM. Anyone see any issues with trimming this fin, guard, or whatever it is, to accommodate the transducer mount? Thanks.

Captain, I know I can mount it as shown, but the face of the transducer won't be parallel to the axis of the motor. How much will that affect the return signal as far as what I see on the screen?

Little notch in the prop guard isn't going to hurt anything. I personally would be inclined to pad out the ducer mount instead, but no, nothing wrong with trimming the keel a bit.

turned out good, with new paint.
