I've been wanting to do this for years and just never got around to it. I finally got a new MK Edge 45 tiller steer trolling motor and needed to get it mounted. The deck on my Lowe Big Jon 1448 sits 2 1/2" below the lip of the bow. I had a piece of aluminum that I thought I could make work but it just wasn't what I wanted. Went online looked and looked at all kinds of mounts and finally got an idea of what I really wanted. My wife works as the controller for a metal fabricator so I knew that getting it made wasn't going to be a problem. I drew it up in Sketchup and they guy is making it now as I speak. Here's a couple of pix of what I'm dealing with and what I designed.

The front and back of the plate are cut to an angle that will match the side. The 2 cutouts at the back end are for the MinnKota trolling motor plug and a 12v accessory plug.
