When I was a young lad, my parents friends had a small house boat, they would go out on the lake and fish at night then sleep then fish in the morning, fix dinner and breakfast in there kitchen, and a number of beds for guests to sleep. Fun, but very wierd fishing from a hole in the living room floor !!
Reminds me of my stint as a yacht mechanic. You would go into their boat/home and go down into a hole in the floor in their kitchen or living room to get to the engine room.
