Ok fellas I have been working on my tinny for a while now and have fished in it a few times. Now I am interested in fishing some small tournaments with my grandson. They will be bass/catfish tourneys on a city lake. My question is whta would be a minimum size for a livewell. I already know how I will build it but I"m just not sure how big. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanx , Jimmie

will a 50 or 60 quart cooler and a fish saver aerator not suffice?? ive used that setup many times... i actually used a 100 qt cooler... i just fill it about half way with a big cup, hook the aerator up and its ready... couple times a day, scoop a cup or 2 of water out, and put a few back in fresh...sounds complicated i guess, but not really...

If thats complicated, somebody's in trouble! LOL :D

This is the set up in my Savage
It picks up water as your traveling and it runs out of the overflow 3inches bellow the top
There is a drain hole at the bottom with a bung
If your still for any extended length of time you turn the electric air pump on
Boat is in pieces at the moment as I'm doing a rebuild
Regards

Thanx for the help guys. I've been looking at a 100 qt Igloo. The thing about it is it has a small lid at one end to drop the fish in without having to open the big lid. 50/60 might be enough but I like the idea of a larger cooler with less water. Again , thanx guys. Maybe I can post some pics of a winning catch !
