mariner 9.9->15 mods??

I finally found a deal on a 9.9. I got a 1998 mariner two stroke pull start for $600 and its great but doesn't have enough nuts to get my boat on plane. I am willing to get into the motor if necessary. Any help is appreciated.

Try adjusting the trim, it should have adjustable holes... Changing my 15 evinrude around all the way trimed in as in the skeg towards the front. It plans super fast...

what size prop is on that bad boy??? if it has a low second number like a 9x6, 9x7, 9x8 it will def only have low end power... need maybe a 9 or 10x11 if you can....

its got a 9 pitch prop.
