New member, old jon boat

Hello,
I bought an old jon boat last spring. I fished from it last summer as it came. It is a Lowe
Big Jon--1448. This year I am going to be finishing it like I want it. Of course, this is on a budget and using a lot of recycled materials.
The first thing on my list is build a rear deck so I can lock the battery and gas can and not take it out every time I bring the boat home.
I have a plywood sign that is 5' x 8'. I will get both front and rear decks from it.
Also, I am re-doing the bunks on the trailer real soon as I can see the rot in the ones on the trailer.
I will post pictures of progress. But since the main drive is be on the water fishing--I will be slow in completing.
I have gotten many ideas from all of the boats on here. You guys do great work.
