Quick question on trolling motor battery...Group 27 or 24?

I have a small problem with my outboard jet boat build. I just finished putting aluminum decks on it and received my custom aluminum hatches this week. My compartment on the passenger side from deck for my trolling battery is big enough for a group 27, which I bought. But once I put the hatch on it, it won't in there. So, I have a few options. The compartment on the drivers side is bigger and even though the hatch is the same size, the battery will go there. I also have a compartment in the center of the boat that is at the back of the front deck that I could mount it and I could put it on the passenger side, but it would be more in the middle of the boat instead of the front. Or, the last option, I could go with a group 24 battery. This battery will ONLY be running a 55lb thrust trolling motor. What are your thoughts??

Since you've already got the 27, I'd keep it and just put it up front on the driver's side.
