Alright, looking at purchasing two high back seats from BassPro, seen here:
https://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/...25008000?cmCat=CROSSSELL_PRODUCT#BVQAWidgetID

Also looking at a casting seat seen here:
https://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/...0205166_225008001_225000000_225008000_225-8-1

My question is this: I've never had pedestal seats, and looking at all the options, I'm a little overwhelmed with my choices. I know I need a base and a post as far as the pedestal seat is concerned, but I'm also wanting them to spin. Are all boat seats universal with pedestals?

Can anyone point my in the right direction of a full pedestal setup for the highback seats and the casting seat?

they are not all the same.. .you have pin lock, spring lock and the best (IMO) is the standard 3/4" pin

You can find cheaper than these, but these are the basics

Seat Mount - https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/...ode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat21336

Pedestal - https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/...&parentType=index&indexId=cat21336&hasJS=true

Base Mount - https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/...&parentType=index&indexId=cat21336&hasJS=true

AND.. here is the whole dang set for ease - https://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/...ct&cmCat=Related_IPL_018804&id=0001707010450a

If you're looking at the bicycle type seats... instead of spending $60 for an adjustable, get another 3/4" pin seat pedestal and stack them... you can see mine stacked on the bow for my front seat... a lot cheaper and you don't have to worry about the hydrolics going out of the expensive ones that seem to only last a year or so according to the reviews

Russ, thanks so much for your help. I switched over to Cabelas just before you posted the links, so I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

The whole setup looks great, not to mention a little cheaper. My only question, is that we don't have 4" below the deck; more like 2". Can the post ends (that go below the deck) be altered?

I don't know if you can cut the ends or not... that's steel (i think it is anyways)..

You could also go with the springlock type of seats and get away from the 4"... I don't think they call for that much clearance
