One of the local lakes here has Striped Bass and it is popular to troll for them. I would like to have the option to do so in my 1648 jon boat but can't figure out whats mounts I should use or a good way to setup the rods. Does anyone have any ideas or pictures?

I have flush mount bases for Ram mounts and I'm pretty happy with them. They're well made and adjustable. They make three different style mounts, one of which might work for you.

This guy has one heck of a set up out of a 14 foot jon boat;

check out driftmaster rod holders, well built, sturdy, several different options. I use for crappie fishing, solid as a rock. I even use 'em on my yaks.

Driftmaster all the way. I used flush mount braces and bolted them on transom corner braces. Also have 2 riveted to front deck and one riveted to rear bench with the star bases.
