So I was all sure I wanted the Dragonfly 5 Pro. Then I went in to West Marine to lay eyes on one and make sure, and the Hook-5 has a feature to do your own sonar mapping using your boat. That would be useful for me since I do a lot of in and out in various rivers that probably don't have super accurate charts.

I think the pricepoints are roughly the same, and I am open to either one.

Suggestions? Thoughts? let me know if you have one or the other and what you like. Thanks!

I can not speak of the Dragonfly but my buddy recently got a Hook 5 and I think I like it better than the Humminbird Helix 5 I got a few years ago. Lowrance makes a nice unit and I think I'm going to go that way in the future.
