Hello all, I have a 1988 Lowe 140v.

Just got back from a fishing trip in Canada, while there. The folding seat ripped out of the bench seat.

The previous owners have had seats mounted all the way across the back at one point or another.

I really like having a back rest while out on the boat, can anyone please help me with a solid way to mount my seat. I would like to be able to slide it from side to side a little also. The bench seats are filled with foam all the way to the bottom and well riveted in.

This is the seat I'm using.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Jeff

Jeff, I'm in the middle of my build and have been trying to figure this out as well. I know if I just mount to the bench this will happen. I'm going to carpet some .5 inch plywood to match the rest of the interior, the same size as the whole bench and screw in to the bench and then put this mount https://m.ebay.com/itm/like/281738474604?lpid=82&chn=ps&ul_ref=https%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%252Frover%252F1%252F711-117182-37290-0%252F2%253Fmtid%253D1588%2526kwid%253D1%2526crlp%253D53601919689_324272%2526itemid%253D281738474604%2526targetid%253D74194842787%2526rpc%253D0.14%2526rpc_upld_id%253D51964%2526rlsatarget%253D%2526device%253Dm%2526mpre%253Dhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.com%25252Fitm%25252Flike%25252F281738474604%25253Flpid%25253D82%252526chn%25253Dps%2526adtype%253Dpla%2526gclid%253DCj0KEQjwiN6sBRDK2vOO_vaRs5cBEiQAfsnJCehjjODORShtSDMWuBY19t2b1-jVz0HsOUejTKT1aZwaAgNM8P8HAQ%2526srcrot%253D711-117182-37290-0%2526rvr_id%253D861487069714&ul_ref=https%3A%2F%2Frover.ebay.com%2Frover%2F1%2F711-117182-37290-0%2F2%3Fmtid%3D1588%26kwid%3D1%26crlp%3D53601919689_324272%26itemid%3D281738474604%26targetid%3D74194842787%26rpc%3D0.14%26rpc_upld_id%3D51964%26rlsatarget%3D%26device%3Dm%26mpre%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fitm%252Flike%252F281738474604%253Flpid%253D82%2526chn%253Dps%26adtype%3Dpla%26gclid%3DCj0KEQjwiN6sBRDK2vOO_vaRs5cBEiQAfsnJCehjjODORShtSDMWuBY19t2b1-jVz0HsOUejTKT1aZwaAgNM8P8HAQ%26srcrot%3D711-117182-37290-0%26rvr_id%3D861487069714&_mwBanner=1 on that for the drivers seat. Hope this helps

Thanks, Jake

I've been looking at a few different seat tracks, that is one. I've also considered doing a layer of plywood, wasn't sure how any of them would hold up. I've searched the build threads without anything solid. I was hoping someone who has already traveled this road would help us with some information.

Thanks, Jeff

Just back from Quebec, I decided to try some hardwood plywood I had laying around for a quick fix before heading to Canada on a fishing trip. We used some spar varnish on the wood and used stainless screws to attach everything, very solid mount. I'm pleased with the results, now to just come up with a mounting configuration for my bow mount trolling motor.
